Course Description

Successfully managing portfolios in the face of economic fluctuations can be one of the most vexing challenges facing decision makers. This is particularly so when considering how unexpected shifts can side rail even the best laid plans.
This course employs actual case studies to put students in an advisory role to:
- Diagnose a business cycle using macro economic indicators and yield curves;
- Evaluate how best to construct a portfolio using the most attractive sectors and equity styles/caps;
- Interpret a client’s goals and risk tolerance estimate their feasibility
